757Simulator nearly one year ago,
purchased (3) curved screens, as reported here,
and mounted them within a frame. The intent was to install these in the
front of the simulator. They were further intended to replace the (3) flat
screen monitors that had large divider bezels which detracts from immersion.
Unfortunately as the year progressed, and the world battled the onslaught
of Covid, time was never budgeted to install these new displays. In retrospect,
it may however, have been a blessing as the new year brought to market much
larger and affordable curved displays.
So in late December of 2020, 757Simulator
decided to sell the (3) new displays, as reported
here, and puchase (1) great big curved display. Yes a whopper. A 50"
curved display which eliminates the unsightly bezels and blends with the
side monitors.
On January 5th, 2021, 757Simulator
purchased the new monitor and expects delivery sometime within a couple
of weeks.
Below is an example of how the new display should appear once installed.
